What is an “Escape Room”?

A live action, team-based experience where you and your friends (or co-workers) are placed in movie-like themed environments, to search for clues, solve puzzles and complete challenges with the common goal of escaping before the countdown clock reaches zero.

How Does the Booking Process Work?

• Select a Theme – CHOOSE which environment suits you?
• Book a Time Slot – You can book online using our BOOK NOW option, or CALL (586) 540-7977 to make special reservations.
• Deposit to Hold Appointment – We don’t mix groups at Xtreme Escape Rooms! Once you book 4 people the appointment slot is yours (No bossy strangers to deal with). Bring additional friends at the time of your appointment if you like and the additional guests can pay in our lobby Credit or Cash. (Not to exceed the limit of people allowed in the room)
• Arrive 15 minutes early for you Adventure!

How Does the Experience Work?

• The Briefing – Your game coach will give you a quick briefing before the adventure begins.  You will go over the DOs and DON’Ts.  Moreover, what you need to know about what to do while in the escape room.
• Start Your Adventure – You will be escorted to your environment and START the clock.  (60 minutes to escape as a team)
• Celebrate! – Win or Lose, after your experience you will enjoy a complimentary photo opp to share online.

Are the escape rooms scary?

Our environments are designed to get the adrenaline pumping. The different scenarios will vary in their Xtreme content. You have the option of choosing an environment that best suits your group. The escape rooms are NOT necessarily scary but include elements that are intended to force your team to perform under pressure.

Is this like other escape room attractions?

In this still very new industry, we are referred to what is being labeled as a next level “Generation2″ Escape Room Facility.

Most traditional escape rooms can be fairly BASIC.  Their escape rooms commonly decorated on a frugal budget with items you might find in your local department store.

Our facility offers the next level in QUALITY. We pride ourselves in our presentation. Our environments give the feel of Hollywood-quality set design using the same vendors and technology you can find in many of today’s movie studios. Our props are crafted with professional prototype expertise and our puzzles are unique to Xtreme Escape Rooms with our signature intelligent yet twisted touch.

How many people can participate?

Our large environments can comfortably accommodate 4-10 people. If you have a larger group, give us a call and we can work something out to make sure we create the best experience for your entire team.

When should I arrive?

You should plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot. If there are members of your party that are late we can start your experience as planned and throw the lame ones in when they arrive. Of course you have the option to wait for the entire party to arrive and reduce your 60 minutes down to whatever time is left.

NOTE: Please understand we operate by appointment and there may be another group arriving after your scheduled time slot that we have to accommodate. However, if that next time slot is open, we can definitely work with you in the event of a late start.

If I have to cancel my booking, can I get a refund?

• When you make your reservation, you’re locking that time slot, preventing us from selling it to anybody else, so please be sure before committing!
• If you paid 100% of your booking in advance, you will receive a 50% refund as long as you cancel more than 48 hours prior to your reservation.* If you saved a card on file when booking, the card will be charged 50% of the total as long as you cancel more than 48 hours prior to your reservation.
• If you cancel less than 48 hours before your reservation, there is no refund and your card will be charged the remaining balance of your appointment. 
• There is a rescheduling fee for last minute rescheduling, if you reschedule with less that 48 hours before your reservation there is a 50% fee.
  *Minus any of your credit card transaction fees if applicable.

What is the age requirement?

All patrons must be 13 years of age or older unless accompanied by an adult that can sign and vouch for them. However, everyone gets a waiver regardless of age. Bonus!

What should I bring or wear?

Your experience may require some light activity such as crawling, bending, and reaching. You should wear something that is easy to move in and comfortable footwear. We provide the rest!

Are you really locked in?

YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY LOCKED IN A ROOM.  For safety reasons we ensure you have the ability to leave the environment at your convenience.  The door that you enter the room at the beginning of the adventure is not your game winning exit door and does not have a lock for easy access in or out during your entire experience.
(Note that the final exit for your escape is another door within the environment you must work as a team to reveal)

NOTE: Safety is always first at Xtreme Escape Rooms. We will go over all of the safety protocols during your briefing before the game.

Can we add more people to our booking later?

YES! All you need to do is call us at (586) 540-7977 or wait until time of arrival! As long as your group does not exceed 10 people we can always add more when you arrive.

Are there any discount codes out?

Of course we have discount codes! The only place you are guaranteed to find a discount code is our YouTube channel, be sure to watch the videos carefully. There are a few areas you can look: 

Do you do anything for large parties?

Yes! If you have more than 10 people in your party we can split your group into two or three teams and you can compete to see who gets the fastest time! We also offer discounts only redeemable over the phone for parties over 8 people. 

Do you have anywhere for birthday parties and food?

We are so happy you ask! Of course we do! We have a party room upstairs that has a refrigerator and microwave. You can rent the party room for $75 an hour. We provide all utensils and do all the cleaning for you. All you have to do is bring the food and the people and we handle the rest! It is a very spacious room that can hold up to 20 people. There is a buffet area where all the food can be laid out. We even have a TV in the room if you want to watch something or play music!
